NEW COLLECTION! This SEM Resource Collection Sounds Like a Plan
New to our Collections page, the Planning and Market Research collection includes market studies, SEM program characteristic summaries, SEM program analysis, and a trove of SEM research documents. This valuable bundle is tailormade for professionals involved in energy efficiency planning and policy, including program administrators, regulators and policymakers.
Critical to the success of any SEM program, third-party research and evaluation is an important way to measure program impacts, including energy savings persistence, customer behavior and cost-effectiveness. Our new Program Evaluation collection includes a variety of insightful impact and process evaluations from actual SEM programs, along with published, cross-cutting summaries of evaluation results.
The 2023 Fall Workshop was on a Whole Different Level

North American Collaborative Integration Update
On November 29, the North American SEM Collaborative (NASEMC) conducted a Quarterly Member Roundtable, where the 2023 NW SEM Fall Workshop was highlighted as a model for SEM professional engagement. In addition to diving deep into the California SEM Expansion Study (in which the NASEMC has been involved in over the past year), NASEMC members shared their top 2024 interests, including topics for high-level webinars and in-depth research. The Roundtable also discussed future continent-wide working groups, with members expressing interest in new topics as well as those covered by existing Northwest working groups.
An interactive highlight of the 2023 NW SEM Fall Workshop, Open Spaces gave workshop attendees the opportunity to generate topic ideas and then deep dive in smaller groups. Covering topics including engaging energy champions and teams, DEI, and M&V savings mysteries, each Open Space work group produced a poster to summarize their collective brainstorm and the ideas generated during their session.
